I have to think about this a bit more, but what struck me reading your comments is how I tend to enjoy a lot of het written by slashers more as well, b/c the slash potential is not foreclosed in the same way I see it in non-slash writers a lot...

I find this interesting . . . is it because you read the story differently knowing what you do about the authors, or is there some difference in the formal characteristics of the texts?
