I love the Sam/John UST. There are not enough good writers doing daddykink, even peripheral non-John daddykink. I can never find many that are real enough or satisfying, or even readable.
There is so much more Dean/John than John/Sam, which makes perfect sense to me, because of Dean's obvious daddy issues. But there's a whole realm of possibilities with the John/Sam that isn't being... uhm. tapped. With Dean, I think his really physical nature coupled with a desire to please his father and keep his family together creates some very nice potential for fuckeduppery. But John is Sam's father, too -- and growing up in a household entirely without women has to have made its mark on him. He has such a stubborn and willful nature, this kind of iron Black/White, it IS or it ISN'T thing going on that I see echoed in John. He must have been a handful, always acting out to get his way, to try and get the affection he needed from both his father and brother and I would LOVE to see tons more bratplay going on in fic.
Would still love to see the tummy-stroking we see John give Sam in Perennial become something more complex for him later on in life. :)

Blah blah blah. Hello nonsensical late-night ramble. Bedtime for me, obviously.
Anyway. I did very much enjoy, what little of it there is.
