I didn't want go into too much detail with regards to the use of alt tag for different types of graphics, mainly because I'm wary of providing too much information - I'm working with the assumption here that it's people posting to LJ/Dth that'll find this useful, in that case they'll be only able to specify alt tags in pictures they post (i.e. not as part of the layout, etc). I think I need to put some addendums in making this clear, though.
Thank you! Yeah, I was a bit disappointed to look up Dth's HTML entries in the FAQ and discover some invalid code stuff. Which surprises me, considering that they're setting their doctypes as XHTML Strict (LJ is Transitional), suggesting they've got accessibility on their mind, anyway. (Though I suppose the FAQ was prob not written by the master Dth coders.)
