I may have a slight chip on my shoulder about the comparative travelling time one has to deal with as an Australian.

Are you going to Hub3 by any chance? I'll be tooling about the UK in October/November and going to the con as a stop in my unplanned travels. I would buy you a drink (or two, or hell, three).

SO MUCH LOVE
I made
IT IS SUCH A FUCKING BRILLIANT IANTO EPISODE. He is snarky and saucy and childish in turn. He makes Jack GROWL.
I LOVE IT. If I just ignore all that 'plot' stuff.
ETA:
IT'S LIKE IANTO'S IN AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SHOW. IT'S BRILLIANT.

It's like Ianto woke up that morning and was all "Fuck it! I'm not taking it seriously today!" because he broke the coffee decanter at home, or something, so clearly the day was going to be a wash.
And I love how Jack mostly just rolls with it - trying to keep some semblance of order and not minding too much when he fails. Although there *could* have been spanking, after.

ZOMG YOUR TARDIS MUST BE TAKING A BREAK FROM ITS BUSY JOB OF SELLING TOYS IN PITTSBURGH. (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c341/turned_earth/various/TARDIS.jpg)
Also, you are tres cute!

Though the broken coffee decanter makes sense too. Broken coffee decanter, woken up with blow job, either way.
I do love that Jack's delighted but yes, mildly perplexed on occasion.
WHEEEE!

I'd advise to buy train tickets around the UK at very least a few weeks in advance unless you want to pay ridiculous prices. Advance fares are quite reasonable; one-the-day tickets are absolutely outrageous (difference between £10 & £80, not even kidding).
DUH THE TARDIS CAN LIKE TRAVEL AROUND AND STUFF IT'S PROB NOT BUSY AT ALL LOL.
Hi!

I joke. I joke. Not about the rail pass, though.
YOU ARE WISER THAN I. I FORGOT THAT IT WAS A TIME MACHINE AS WELL AS A DELIGHTFUL TOY DISPLAY TO SHOW OFF JACK ACTION FIGURES.

Rail passes are pretty expensive - how long are you over here for? Do you know whereabouts you want to go in general? (what bases you want to hit?) You'd probably save heaps just booking tix in advance.
I visited for about 6 weeks in 2007 and looked into rail pass, it turned out better value to just buy my train tickets as advance fares. (Then again, I also have about 30% off train fares with my youth discount card :D)

But I'm still in the hand flappy stage. HAND FLAPPY.
Trains here blow. It takes 17 hours to get to Chicago by train, and 8 to drive from where I live. This might very well be my first time on a train.
