I want to write a story that goes AU between S1 & S2 of Torchwood. Instead of all the Master/YTW stuff, Jack travels around on the TARDIS for a while. Until he gets (possibly inadvertently) left behind somewhere, with no way home.
Not ones to wait about idly, Team Torchwood decide to mutiny the Institute charter, hotrod a space ship and go off to find him. (Which of course they do. And laugh in Jack's face when he tries to boss them around again upon them rescuing him.)
And then they all livepolyamorously happily ever after. In space.
