I just love that (in this episode, anyway) none of these characters are passive objects that are just there to further the plot for the (male) hero(es). The story is about each of these people, their stories, their relationships with and love for each other.

There's all this talk about the triangle and very little talk about how this is really the FIRST time we got a Gwen episode that wasn't totally about someone else. We saw some of HER angst and HER fears. She's so lonely and unconvinced of her own worth. :( I can't even describe how big a deal it was for me to see some small exploration of her feelings after 16 episodes of her propping up other characters.

And this is equally true for the rest of the ensemble because it was so very much about them and their love for each other, but it's something Gwen hasn't ever been given, and for that I'm always going to have a soft spot for this episode.

I totally agree with everything else you said, too. :D
