Meep.

Do I want to sign up for [livejournal.com profile] paperlegends Merlin Big Bang?

I have a couple of epic canon story ideas that could easily be 30K+. But I don't know if I'm very good at writing at the moment.

Maybe I'll sign up and see how it goes...

Sign ups don't start for another month or so anyway.

But it would be nice to actually sign up for and COMPLETE a big bang for once, especially seeing as I know I'm actually capable of writing that much.

Hrrrrm.

I am going through the same indecision at the moment. The 30K aspect in particular is making me nervous...

It'd be really awesome to have 30k+ words by you to read in one go! In general big bangs are also known to be useful support group for people who worry about being able to finish an epic, along with being a good excuse to get started.

I'm not inclined to reccomend that big bang to a lot of artists, but for writers it has great praises.

I found this back in my emails. Have you given more thoughts to maybe joining a Merlin Big Bang challenge? Or had any idea for such a story?

I think you should do it.

The only reason you've given for why you shouldn't is that you don't feel like a very good writer right now, but to me that sounds like a reason to go for it. You're feeling out of practice, or you think there's something lacking in your technique? The only way to solve both problems is to jump in there and start writing.

Good luck.
