you can read a version of it here.

basically: town is infested with rats. townfolk can't get rid of rats. piper comes along and says "i can get rid of them, you have to pay me lots of money, though". townsfolk agree. piper plays his pipes and leads the rats away and out of the town. townsfolk decide that they don't want to pay the piper. the piper plays his pipe and leads all the children of the town away and out of the town, thus enacting his revenge. the end!
