hope | (no subject)

okay. i've started the really really wacky task of undergoing a mass defriending. I've gone back through the past couple of months and unlocked all the fandom-exclusive posts and make a concentrated effort in future to keep the personal and fandom stuff separate so i don't just end up locking everything. if people want me to go back further and unlock more fandom posts, that can be done.

people who end up defriended, PLEASE DON'T BE OFFENDED. it's nothing personal, but i just feel really uncomfortable and a mite deceptive when i have so many people who i really don't know (or know *at all*) listed as friend. there are also fandoms i have moved out of and thus most of the time it's not liek, applicable to have the same people friended, as odd as that sounds... but you know what i mean. the same reason i expect people have me friended for fandom-only purposes, i have other people friended for fandom-only purposes. fandoms which i am no longer in.

BUT ANYWAY. i have no problems with people reading my lj, but i keep the personal ones locked for personal safety reasons.

anyway. omg! this is too weird.

I'm glad you explained your unfriendings, since I was one of them. Very few people take the time to do that. As a matter of fact, I think you're the first one who's unfriended me that has, so thank you. I'm afraid I take each unfriending to heart, but that's just me and my abandonment issues. *g*

It's true that you don't know me personally, but I'm a fan of your work, so while I certainly understand your wish to keep your personal thoughts private, or at least friends only, I do hope you'll keep your wonderful stories public so I can still continue to read and enjoy them.

my question is, why did you friend us back if you didnt know us well? you kind of left your LJ open for anyone to read. i mean, i can understand where you're coming from & all, but...you shouldnt have given us that option if you didnt want people you didnt know well on your friend's list.

<3 I completely understand the defriending thing...it is kinda weird having people on your flist who you don't really know, or haven't talked to...especially when they just lurk about. *cough*likeme*cough*
