Oh, come on, it is. It SO is. It looks a little darker in 2.04, but dude, those pockets. See how much darker John's looks in the screencap to the still up there? And Dean didn't have it before, the Laundry List says so. AND LOOK AT THE COLLAR-CURL ON THOSE LAST 2 IMAGES!!

And there's a big difference in colour-quality between a screencap of a file-compressed rip of an already colour-adjusted final product, and a relatively clean still image from the set.

HE IS.

Dean's wearing the shirt his Daddy died in. HE IS.

DEEEAN!

Or, okay, even if it isn't - it's exactly the same make and model, just slightly different tones. LOOK, IT IS, OK?

Man, when I watched it last night, something kind of tapped at the back of my head that that shirt looked weird on Dean, or maybe not weird, but different from what he normally wears. And then I promptly forgot all about it. But. BUT, IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW. He's wearing his daddy's clothes because he misses him.

Dean is wearing cooler colours now (blues, greys, greens), and Sam is wearing more of the warmer reds and browns . Which makes sense, as they've pretty much switched emotional roles. (Yaknow, each losing their lifelong lovers at the end of the first episodes of the respective seasons.)

But also, they have so few LAYERS. So much of the first season was shot in colder climates, it seems, there is much more variety in landscape and weather in these first four episodes. So much less clothing!!! They're almost invariably in shirt sleeves, teeshirts, rolled-up cuffs... bare throats... ahsdcasjfk;dasf
