HAH!
Because I was totally gunning for that, I can't say it came across as a BIG DISAPPOINTING REVEAL. I mean, seriously, what were you expecting? and christ, Ellen was SO not over reacting. HER CHILD. IN DANGER. A LOVED ONE ALREADY LOST IN EVIDENCE OF JUST HOW MUCH FREAKING DANGER. I mean, honestly. I think this show is pretty consistent with how it demonstrates that rationale is goes out the window when ONE OF YOUR PACK IS IN PERIL.
Ahem.
I have to say, I was rather fond of this episode. The spook stuff was creepy, at least up until we saw him. The makeup on the full-body Holmes was less creepy than like, the eye-in-the-wall Holmes.
Though, the resolution in this ep left me a bit unsatisfied. Salt line? Cement? was more at the Bugs-and-Hell-House end of the scale, there. Though, all the spook stuff up until the rescue was awesome, I thought Jo was great in all those situations, and I was TOTALLY creeped out.
edit: oh, and I totally missed Sam. !
eta 2: FEMININE BUSINESS. That's totally what John called it. OH, BOYS. yup, they were raised without any women. Though I bet Sam was just like, o__O when Dean said that, and recalled fondly his time with Jess. Sam knows that there are things creepier than ectoplasm, and that those things are girl things. And yet, he still loves them. Hot Latin Babes, to be precise.
