Zip for Mac?

I did! I am on a PC, therefore have never encountered Stuffit before, but I am looking for the Mac software for a work-related reason (i.e. we sent out a zip file, someone who got it is on Mac, needs to know what software).

oh! Than Stuffit Expander is good for that. Also unrarx for rar files, um! But you didn't ask about that.

All Mac OS X machines I know of, there's either StuffIt expander or an almost invisible utility that will automatically kick in if someone double-clicks on a zip file. So you don't have to install anything unless she's deleted it.

Mac can handle unzipping files on its own (uses a native app called BOM Helper, I think) but Stuffit Expander and The Unarchiver are both free for download.

Stiffit is a free download but OSX 10.(something or other) can do it itself. If you ever need to send a .rar file there is UnRarX, also free.

I'm a fan of The Unarchiver, it's simple, easy and I find it quicker than Stuffit.
