I settled into mainstream fandom before I (re)discovered slash. I found slash the first time around in the late 80s, with original Trek. I even had a fic in one of the old style zines, back then. Then I lost touch with slash, until about 2001, when cupidsbow and friends dragged me back in with tempting references to Munch/Finn slash.
