This was *going* to be my big public post about Fanlore and how exciting it is and how hard we've worked on it, but I got as far as the subject line before I got swept up in chat transcripts, discussion pages, recent changes and emails, and the to-do list is never ending.

So this isn't the big public post about Fanlore. One day that will happen, maybe, eventually.

In the meantime, any wiki editors or readers or lurkers are welcome to come chat or loiter in the Fanlore Chat room, which is now open as I tootle about.

Can I have a Fanlore icon? We need icons in the Fanlore style.

I realize that most of my glee at fanlore is the chance to build something. To write the first versions of articles on Instant Messaging, IP addresses and Intellectual Property! To do a bunch of research and write the Tinhat one and the Celebrity RPG one. It's been SO MUCH FUN.

I'm not really *letting* myself have that kind of fun just yet - I have to concentrate too much on all the admin stuff to risk getting swept away! One day, though... *longs*
