hope: Art of a woman writing from tour poster (Torchwood ensemble)

Hmm, yeah, Children of Earth is pretty awesome, it's produced more like a feature film than s1&2 were - so that means tighter writing, directing and effects, and also a more solid plot where the issues seem more considered. (I know, Cyberwoman had me tearing my hair out, too.)

I'd be tempted to say: Give Children of Earth a go, and if it hooks you then watch the first two seasons. Season 2 is a lot more fun and smoother than S1 as well, I found myself cursing through S1 just to get to S2.

And to be completely honest, I've re-watched very little. This really is a show I'm into mostly because of the fandom, not because of the overwhelming awesome of the canon (because, seriously. It's fun, but so problematic).

And hee, yeah, the Britishness (and sub-set of Welshness *g*) and canon gay are big redeeming features for me :D
