I can just *feel* that cloak slapping against Frodo's ankles and that every breath he takes is a great weariness.

Wow. Pauses to collect thoughts. (If I weren't afraid I might get in trouble, I might call this litfic--connects to a discussion we're having over in virgule and on a friend's live journal about genre issues)....that is, it's a beautifully realized psychological exploration of Frodo's state at this point in the film. The growing weight and paranoia, sexualized but not sexual (hey, Tolkien did choose to make it a RING not a sword after all!)...wow. As with your earlier one, the style is beautiful, evocative, haunting in this case as well.
