I have to say that I've been missing out - not sure how I missed your fic before. I even added you to my friend's list before I found this fiction journal. now I'm back-reading with joy. whee!

These five are powerful enough to catch my fancy, even without the added zinger of the fairy tale bent. I am mesmerised! you are too clever by half.

1. still stumped by this one, thought it is my favorite...that last line breaks my heart each time I read it. Ummm, The Wolf and The Seven Little Kids? parts of that fit...
2. The Boy Who Found Fear At Last (http://www.rickwalton.com/folktale/olive25.htm) by Andrew Lang? This one isn't very well known, so I made this a link to the translated story...don't know if it is what you were thinking of, but hey, I'm placing my bet here.
3. Little Red Riding Hood
4. Hansel and Gretel, I suppose... also a lot like Gerda and Kay in The Snow Queen...hmmm...I just don't know.
5. The Princess and the Pea (love this one! I hope that's the right answer, cuz Orlando as a true princess among lots of poser princesses is hysterical!)
