Oh, so pretty. That was really good. Frodo can't bake, hee! And Sam's all heartachy and trying to hold it in, and Rosie trying to make everybody feel better. Aw so cute.

That this story rocks like it does when co-authored together by Mary and Hope. Nope, not surprised at all. How utterly charming it was---especially the end. :) And poor Frodo so overwhelmed with baby care---I love it! Is there anything cuter? I don't think so.

LB gladly hands both of you each a chocolate cream pie, free of baby spit, cat fur, or other sundries, and disappears, very content indeed after reading this.

Poor Frodo, trying to do domestic stuff! It reminds me of a scene in "Jeeves and Wooster" when Wooster tries to make tea, and has to consult a cookbook to find out where to put the water. I liked your characterization of the young hobbits, and the story was very good. Excellent use of foreshadowing and hobbit cuteness, with enough domestic detail to ground it (in a positive sense). What is vanilla slice? It sounds like a custard or flan.

I hereby bestow upon you: 2 banana-coconut-meringue pies each, 2 dutch apple pies each, 2 of my homemade mock-cherry pies each, one extra-large vegetarian mushroom pot pie each (this is a hobbit fic), a big pan of rhubarb crumble each, two pans each of apple crisp, one each of key lime, peach, pumpkin, custard, lemon cream, blueberry, blackberry, date, dried-apple-and-raisin, deep-dish apple, chocolate chiffon, pecan, vanilla cream, raspberry, and peanut butter pie. If there are any you don't like in this assortment, donate them to any hungry hobbit children you find hanging around the edges of the PGY universe.

Another part of PGY-goodness! *melts* It's so sweet how their personalities seem to fit together even as a child. Frodo will tell stories and Rosie will kiss away all the aches. And Sam will be Sam for Rosie and Frodo to share.
