Did I see a giant squid? I thought I saw a giant squid! At first I thought it was a fan vid, then I thought it was a student film, but no, FOR REALS! With GDL and ROBOTS. I am so happy I could dance.
Wow, ripping off Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Who in the same movie! I look forward to seeing him in movies that have nothing to do with waistcoats or monsters...
(So far, my favorite version GDL is the one that reads very loudly about fisting in his concert, closely followed by the one that tells snarky stories and makes out with John at conventions)
The dinosaur, dragon, robot and giant squid thing are awesome but there's precious little homoerotic subtext alas (although given that the guy who plays Holmes is a truly appalling actor that they have any chemistry at all is impressive).
