I have no idea if they're native. I'd assume yes. There are heaps of frog species in Aus, I haven't heard of introduced ones... I could have a look around and find out likely candidates, if you want. It's a bit hard to identify closely from the tadpoles, though.

I was just explaining this to YK again. We're in autumn, shading into winter, and I told her just take our season, and Hope is in the exact opposite! Then we held up our fists to be the Earth (hers) and the Sun (mine) and rotated hers on the axis and thumb and pinkie as the poles and shining "light" with the fingers of my other hand, and... yeah.
Sometimes it's sad you live on the other side of the world, but sometimes? It's also very cool.
