2 - Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.


Yay for AO3 for giving me names of fandoms and numbers of stories. I am not linking to the stuff I did in these fandoms, most of the work is just too embarrassing (oh, I was such a newbie).

I am a serial monogamist with my fandoms, so Merlin's the only one I still write in.

Wordcount is probably quite a different set of figures (oh, I suddenly really want to make a comparative line graph... if only AO3 summed wordcounts per fandom as well!)

It doesn't feel that prolific, when I look back at it! I suppose that's because I have intense, super-prolific periods where I write 40,000 words per week... then 18 months of total dryness.

I have this meme saved to my desktop in a text file to do at some point when I can be bothered, because so many fandoms omfg.

I need to do a timeline style chart where it shows what I was writing when, because there are peak periods for each fandom and then they all either stop entirely (X-Files, Secret Life of Us, some small fandoms) or have infrequent updates (Red Dwarf, Harry Potter), or turn up at Yuletide (The Long Walk).

Basically I just want to make ALL THE CHARTS.

I want to make all the charts too! I wish i was a programmer, I'd totally set up some auto-statistics app for fic writing.

This is over 10 years! I am prolific in waves. A few months of frenetic productivity followed by a year+ of NOTHING.

I don't think anything about "prolific" implies that the large body of work has to be produced in a short period of time. ;p
If anything, it's moar impressive. Sustained dedication to fandom and writing.
