WFI, FanLib... Digg?

With all the cross-fandom dramas going on, what I reckon would be really cool would be some kind of community tagging system. For example, in my professional field, there is an 'np tech' tag which you can subscribe to the feed of - if someone tags something 'np tech' on their blog, on technorati, on flickr, anywhere... it shows up in that feed. (Communal tags is something I would REALLY love LJ to have, period.)

Would it be worth setting up a digg-style page(s) where people could tag in important entries relating to these issues? ([livejournal.com profile] moveablehistory, I know you played around with setting up a digg-style feed for fic a short while ago.)

I've just seen so many posts around with interesting things and links, I think it would be a good idea to make it all more accessible, instead of a billion randomly linked around posts on LJ.

How about a communal tag for del.icio.us, even? like 'fanlib' or 'fancensorship2007'? It's easy enough to locate the RSS feed for a del.icio.us tag, isn't it?

Speaking of all of the above (kinda) - if you're in fandom, take this poll which is geared at estimating just how much money the fan community contributes towards LJ.

ETA: Join [livejournal.com profile] fandom_counts to measure just how many LJs are actually fandom LJs.
