hope: Art of a woman writing from tour poster (i'm gay. so sue me.)

(no subject)

got another roll of film developed today, this was the roll that fucked up in the camera and didn't wind on properly, so i got the tech at the photo lab to pull it out so i could try using it again.  flicking through the photos, i found one at the start where i was liek "omg wtf??" and couldn't work out what the hell it was until i realised it was the manifestation of the fuck-up in the film last time - essentially, 34 photos all exposed onto the same frame of film.

levels adjusted a bit so it's a bit clearer.  cool, huh?  next roll of film i think i'll double expose all of them.  whee!

just read this story (i'm GAY for YOU, spider-man!), which was good, but weird too, because new fandom eep!  i'm not so much a slash fan as a fan who likes slash, because seriously considering slash in another fandom, or with a pairing outside my usual focus, kinda squicks me.  i'd like to get involved in more fandoms, though.  maybe i'll give spidey a go.

hardly had any sleep this weekend. exhausted.  bleh to another work week.

it's like driving in a dream, looking into the mirror and finding weird stuff happening behind you. are those glasses in the middle?

I see bats, hanging wrong side up. Must be Mary's influence.

That's a great picture! The colours make it look really fantastic. Double exposure was one of my favourite things to play with back when I did photography in high school.

As you can see, i'm articulate as a really articulate thing. I smrt.

This is one really lovely picture, actually... or 34 really lovely ones, lol. And since I'm here, hi. You come highly recommended and when I saw you had a photography journal as well, I couldn't resist adding you, but you certainly don't have to add me back, I just didn't want you to wonder who this crazy person was, lol. So yes, great picture. Shame I can't play with double exposition on my digital camera, I really need to get the old camera out again, I think.

One of my favourite things to do was to mess with proportion.. so, say take a shot of a garden tap that will fill the frame. Then take a photo of a person standing somewhere that fills maybe a quarter to a third of the frame. The results can be pretty nifty. Mixing stuff to get things like a tree growing out of a building can be tricky, but also look neat.

I used to like going with the more strange surreal stuff than arty, so I can only give bonkers suggestions like that :)

I wish that there was a function on digital cameras to make a double exposure. I suppose you could achieve the effect to some degree in photoshop or GIMP, but it's just not the same.

Well, I have friended [livejournal.com profile] hopelense as well, lol. So I should be all set. And I understand your friending policy because ah, I have the same one. But you can probably expect me to drop by on your fandom and picture posts, that's for sure. :-)

i really like this picture though. it's textured and the colours are great. my mother's cousin, a fairly famous photographer here in eastern canada, won an international first prize for an accidental picture.

also, this is viggo-esque. but not his photography: his paintings. which i guess means this is also kandinski-esque, which probably sounds better ;)

that is really awesome. especially trying to pick out the different objects and how they overlap. but if you look at it long enough? it looks like it has eyes and is looking back at you. ultra-creepy.
