I'm making and selling 'slash buttons' in an attempt to raise some money for my o'erseas travel.

design:




colours:


(red, orange, pink, blue, green, yellow, purple, white - let me know if you have another colour you desperately want)

size: 3.5cm/1.35" diameter

price: A donation of no less than US$3.00 for the first, $2.00 for subsequent buttons up to 5.

The price includes the materials for making them, postage, paypal/funds transfer charges, and about $1.00 profit per button towards my travel fund.

to purchase: put the correct amount into my paypal account (see below)

in the 'payment for' field, specify the number and colour of buttons you want. make sure you have an address attached to your paypal account so i can see where to send them. once you've made the payment, it's probably best to confirm that info (what you want, how much money you put in, and your address) with me via email: angstslashhope at livejournal dot com.

EDIT DECEMBER '04: please note that at the moment i am NOT taking any new orders for slash buttons, as i am overseas! Keep an eye out, i'll make a post sometime in february if i decide to keep making and selling them.

And I don't think I said this before, but when you're in Seattle, you don't need worry about money stufff except for miscellaneous shopping.

I might be being alarmist, but my sense is that this might be against the TOS. I followed a link from fandom_wank the other day where some people were telling a guy that it was even against the LJ TOS for him to provide a paypal link on his journal and ask for donations. I think it would be clauses XVI.7 or XVI.16 (http://www.livejournal.com/legal/tos.bml) against spam or commercial use if anything. It'd only be a problem if somebody reported it, of course.

yep, it's still happening! i do lots of other ones of my own design (mostly just other found images), but i haven't really offered them because they're all unique. do you have any ideas for designs you think people would be interested in?

I'd love to see some of the other designs you've made, and I'm sure plenty of other people would, too! You could make an entry with a call to anyone who has ideas for fandom-related (or whatever) buttons, then make a poll so people could vote on their favourite, and make buttons out of the most popular!

Or not. I'm just talking out of my arse, really. I love teasing non-slashers with my "lemon addiction" carry case and my Harry/Snape hoodie. >:D It's so bloody fun. "HAHA I KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW! And it's dirty and probably something you'd frown at, but you can't because you just don't know! HaHA!"
