i feel like i have so many things to say but don't know where to start my entry! i'm also debating what exactly to say, because i like to keep my travelogue flocked but like to keep convention reports public, so lets see how i go.
dom is attractive, dom is charismatic, dom is sexy. billy is adorable, billy is charming, billy makes you feel all warm and fuzzy.
elijah is not of this freaking world. i can list the tangible things that make him so fricking great - honesty, shamelessness complete lack of ego, openness, friendliness, awesome sense of humour; but when you're in his presence it's not just the physicality (all badfic cliches aside - oh my fucking god that skin, those eyes, the mouth, nose, the expressiveness, fricking EYEBROWS even) - you're just mesmerised. and it's not just the celebrity value. it's liek, woah. for a while a bit of me regretted not talking to him when bunnie & undone were in the hotel lobby, but now i think back i was kinda just happy to look and soak it all up. because (and you don't know the agony it causes me to recite this cliche here, but:) i can literally close my eyes and see him standing liek, RIGHT THERE, and it's still liek WOAH.
i am bad at the convention report thing. needless to say, it was amazing. before i went i was anxious about the repercussions of meeting the guys - i mean, my main concern was that meeting them would ruin the picture i have of them in my head, ruin any kind of inspiration for writing/creating that image has, but let me say, since seeing/meeting them this weekend, my fandom inspiration has shot through the roof. i'm so inspired and filled with glee and just overall refreshed for the whole fandom experience.
elijah experiences aside, the most awesome thing about the weekend was meeting and spending time with so many fandom friends. oi. it was very sad when it came time to say goodbye. i'm sure i'll see you again - whether it means coming to another convention or coming to visit yall, it'll happen. i'll make sure of it.

They *are* unreal, aren't they? Each of them. For me, especially JRD, who should be nominated for God.

Those are the bits of report things I'm looking for and enjoy the most. I don't care if you experienced that on Friday at 13.55 or on Sunday at 8.05, I just want to know what you experienced.
And cliche's are cliche's for a reason: some are staggeringly true.

at torn, i just felt rooted where i was standing, i couldn't take my eyes off of him and i KNEW that but i couldn't HELP it. yeahyeah dom was right there too, but it was like elijah had a magnetism and a glow and i still cannot find proper words for him. i just can't. i try, and i get speechless. it has nothing to do with his fame... it's just him.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BOOK!! Making it, publishing it, being present at ORC to make me aware of it! It's not just about the convenience of paper versus reading off a screen; God, there's something about the validation of seeing these stories in BOOK form. It just feels so damn good to have it!

And you have thoroughly confirmed my suspicions that Elijah is an alien.
