attention oscillating.net hostees...

have any of my o.net hostees put up any huge files for download recently? i got a message from my host yesterday saying i'd gone 150MB over my limit, they sent me another today saying 450MB over. any songs? sonvids? videos? if so, please take down until the start of the month, at least, and consider your options in posting huuuge files like that for download in future. unfortunately i am not an inexhaustable resource!


(PS. mary, unless you've put a song or vid or something up for download, don't freak out about your robin site - that is perfectly reasonable usage that has not ever pushed it over before.)

The funny thing is that I did freak out, before I saw your comment at the bottom. I always automatically think trouble is my fault, heh.

I did an update last night, including a download-backup of some of the folders I had up, but the uploading/downloading of that wouldn't have been anywhere near the numbers you're talking.

i know you always freak out about it, doofus! but i also know you're always worried about it, but more importantly - you know website stuff and know what is unreasonable, har.

damn h4s. now they have a list of major mailbox sizes, major subdomain sizes, but still not major bandwidth users. *smacks them*

...on an oscillating.net note, I was wondering. I've got a fair amount of non-Lotrips stuff up on my dombillijah site. Could I set up a separate o.net site for that stuff, or is it all right that I'm contaminating the dombilllijah purity with all that X-Men ad HP crap? ;)

Probably not the best time to ask, given the big-file-download problem, but I've been meaning to ask for a while, and this reminded me....

Did an update of recent fics 2-3 weeks ago. Doubt anyone's been hitting those hard :).
