The slash panel is listed for 6pm. Sunday. The panel blurb reads:

Slash: An Unnecessary Evil?
The slash girls are coming! Why do you all have to put up with us? Why are we so obsessed with this stuff? What about copyright issues? How do we rationalise hijacking celebrity avatars for porn purposes? A brief exploration of the rise of the slash subculture in fandom.
Elaine Kemp, Jennifer Fallon, Zoe Holmes

If you're willing to be on it, I'll need to know what name you want me to send to the programmer. I know Jennifer Fallon, but not Zoe Holmes. [livejournal.com profile] maharetr is also going to be at the con, and I think I might have persuaded her to be on the panel too.

People like us, who are composed almost entirely of opnions, sit at the front of the room. We tlak around the issue, give the audience some basic idea of the topic, and then wideranging and sometimes intellectual discussion ensues.

Kind of like a tutorial at Uni.

I'm moderator, so I do the basic admin (keep a speaking list if things get heated, make an audience member shut up if they are dominating the session).

I'm guessing that Jennifer Fallon, as a prowriter, is going to be opinionated about copyright issues.
