whee! joss was just interviewed (or at least, they just played the pre-recorded interview) on the triple j breakfast show.

ohhh i love him. he sho clever and badass and eeee.

lessee if i can remember anything... upon being asked if he felt like "the leader of a cult": "i don't see myself as a leader... i see myself as the fan who got closest."

oh, and one of the presenters asked a question: "i heard about some fans at one of the screenings... one guy gave up his ticket to someone else so he could stand outside and show off his firefly memorabilia... another girl brought handwritten cards to give to the box office attendant, the usher, the projectionist, the popcorn guy... isn't that a bit weird?"
joss: "yes, politeness and self-sacrifice are weird, i know i've never done it."

just looking on the jjj website, i see they generally put up their interviews for downloads, and have podcasts etc. so i will download and post when it is available, because even though i slept through the start (grr), the end, at least, hinted at a pretty cool interview. (of course it was! it was joss!)

eta: can anyone recommend a good podcast downloading (or whateveryoucallit) program?

i tend to use my iTunes for podcast downloading these days. but before that I used a program called iPodder - google should help you there I guess. It worked very well, too, and I liked its systray icon, a little cute lemon. :)

does ipodder work without itunes?

I wanted to listen, but was on my way to work when it aired, I guess. I'm keeping an eye on the SOz forum to see if anyone uploads it; but failing that, i'd love you to point me in its direction if it gets put on the JJJ site as an mp3! Ja. Danke :)

I have a renewed love for Firefly. There was a Jayne sound-alike in the hardware store tonight. I may have leered and snickered in the Lighting aisle.

I kept waiting for him to say something about the ruttin' light bulbs...
