!

cat owners on my flist, plis help [livejournal.com profile] notarebel out urgently with how to care for a wee kitten.

i don't think my instinctual suggestions of "OMG SQUISH IT TO BITS AND EAT ITS ICKLE HEAD!" would help much.

If you give Lin and me giggle fits like this we'll never get to bed.

*squishes you to bits and eats your ickle head with the wee TAM NOSE*

The advice she's getting there is all good. I'd guess the kitten's age at no more than three weeks, tops, and probably closer to two.

With one that little, as vet really is the first place to start.

I'm a he, not a she. ;)

My apologies for the assumption! I misread your username as someone I knew elsewhere in LJ land.

Very young kittens have extremely soft stools as a matter of course (just as all tiny baby mammals of milk-only diet) but digestive parasites are a virtual given in feral felines, and that can be dangerous in kittens so young.

That photo is priceless.

Whups! Meant to use the Kitten icon.

And yes, a vet seems to be the go. I have no money for petrol, but I'm working something out.

The poor thing's stool seems not so healthy, so one way or another I'll get her to a vet tonight.
