you know, i think that Rayne is the lovechild of Jayne and River, who turns out vampire due to their unique mix of dna. adventures ensue, adventures with bodices and ben kingsley!
yes, in a story called 'bloodrayne', a lovechild is so very, very unexpected (though hang on... yeah i suppose a child out of *wedlock* is unexpected).
yes, but mum taught her how to chop people up with big shiny knives. though daddy taught her to name them.

The bodices are key to the adventures. She learned to lace them properly from her dear old dad (her mum just tried to eat the laces).

This actually brings tears to my eyes. Tears of touching snufflies at the loving family that Rayne had when growing up. Why can't we all have that??
(She remembers when her daddy caught her with her first knife. She tried to hide it away in the sleeve of her dress, but she just cut her arm.
"Blood! Rayne!" he yelled at her. "Ain't no good messing up the floor. You know yer ma ain't much for cleanin'."
After he cleaned the blood from the cut (using the edge of her dress), he said, "Gotta be careful with knives."
"Huh?" she asked. She'd always been really articulate, or so her uncle Simon said,
"They don't treat you right 'till you treat 'em right."
"Don't understand."
He picked her up and sat her on his knee. "You gotta name 'em, else they don't know they're yours.")
Awww, isn't that touching? I'm filling a mite sickly now.
