Tis a miniature Jayne-hat keyring.





(most accurate colour - though the red is still a wee bit less bright)

So, like, I was thinking I might make some more to sell to Firefly fans.

They are 100% cotton (so, vegan friendly!), hand-knitted, taking about 90 minutes each to make. But I'm not sure how much to charge. So, if you think you'd be interested, please fill out the following poll:

oh no, not insulting! like, i wouldn't want to pay more than $5 for a keyring... but yeah, hand made is a bit different ;D plus, having visited the states, i know things tend to be cheaper there anyway (so $5 there would be $8-10 here anyway, i sense).

I'd want to pay $5 for a keyring, but it seems like that's not much if you've worked 90 mins on it. I mean, that's basically like paying you $3.50 an hour. So, maybe $10? Not that I can afford one right now, but if I could, $10 is probably what I'd offer. Hell, it's hand made, not a little factory created thing.

Do you know what I really want? One big enough to fit my mini dolfie's head. That would be awesome.

Hmmm. It's about 44cm tall. I think about 17 inches? It's bigger than a Barbie, with a much bigger head circumfrence. My doll wears a size eight doll wig, if that helps any. *looks for measurements* Okay this site (http://angelsupply.co.kr/eshop/display/home.php?mode=subdetail&num=596) has a boy-Ren doll (same size as mine), and says his head is 19.9cm (um, I think that's about 7.8 inches?). Ideally, a bit bigger would be best to fit the hat over the wig he'd inevitably be wearing.

What do you think? I would say it's roughly the size of your tightly closed fist.

I'll give it a go! I have yarn left over from larger hats i've made, and just looking around on my desk can see several things i can use to test sizing on :)

I'm over here from The Cortex...and um, this might be the coolest thing I've seen in a long long time. If you start to sell them I'd totally want to buy one. Just one more little, but totally awesome item to show my FireFly love.
