i'm once again convinced that in the hands of a good writer there is no such thing as a cliche. there are only interesting premises!

Oh hell yes! or, well, they are cliches because they've been done a million times, again and again in each fandom, but with the negativity stripped from that term. I love them, they're done awesomely well.

And I was just grabbing for the extreme tropes that are easily categorized. What's on your list?
