Supernatural fic podcast?

Okay, so [livejournal.com profile] groaty got me thinking: Supernatural fic, aloud.

This is not a new thought for me (as those who've been around for a few years will know), nor for fandom in general. There are a bunch of fandoms that have people who record audio tracks of stories, be it their own or someone else's.

So. What would you say to a Supernatural fanfic podcast? You could record yourself reading your story, or someone else's story, aloud, and I could work my editing mojo and put them together in one big 'cast (well, about half-an-hour 'cast). Or bundle them as individual stories. Or something. There could be a slash edition and a gen edition. Maybe once a week or fortnight.

Whaddaya think?

That would be MAJORLY awesome.

Especially the idea of Sam and Dean's fancrackified dialogue being read out by a bunch of assorted fangirls. Think of the possibilities, oh the possibilities!

Yakfucker fics in glorious surround sound. My nipples, they tingle in delight.

I absolutely love the idea, but I bet people would just laugh at me when I read my stories with an accent - actually, I don't know how I'd sound, I guess people couldn't listen to the content of the story, they'd be much too interested in finding out where the hell I come from: I've heard Australia, I've heard South Africa, etc.. etc..

Oh! Oh, yes! Yes, yes, yes!

I love this idea, it brings a new depth to the fandom that would be very ineteresting. I hope it works out. :D

(I'm a lurker, by the way. I love all the work you're doing for the fandom. :) )

I think it's an interesting idea. It's along the lines of the upswing in audiobooks because people don't have time to read, but they can listen.

I've a ton of fic on my HD, and I'm not going to read most of it this side of christmas. But I often listen to radio podcasts when I work, so, I'd d/l it

that would be an AWESOME thing. because there are fics I'd totally re-read....if i didnt already have NEW fics to read. but if i had the audio files? i could listen to them as i fell asleep! \

and then the dreams that would most likely ensue with that playing in my sleep? Theyd be glorious.

Oh I would totally be interested in SPN fic podcasts! Hell, I might even be willing to help with a few here and there maybe.
