Season 2 on Super-wiki

I’ve just updated the Super-wiki with the page for 2.01: In My Time of Dying.

This includes the Pad of Definitions entries for this episode. Please feel free to add trivia, quotes, references, etc!

Spoiler policies still stand - please don’t upload information directly to the wiki until the episode has aired in the USA.

So, Pad of Definitions! The tone/authorial voice of the PoD this season is completely different! I mean, when you did research it was pretty obvious that they’d just c&p’d a lot of stuff from Wikipedia, but still, the voice of it kind of read like notes they’d taken... but with this season, the voice is completely different! It’s like, a production team or omniscent commentary, with “Tessa says to Dean blah blah” and all that stuff. Which is kinda good, because they describe things that we see but that are never actually named in the show. Like the symbol John draws in the boiler room.

Anyway, I was also extremely amused by the recipe list for the Oil of Abramelin:

There are several very similar recipes of the oil, but the original was made up of Myrrh, Cinnamon, Cassia, Calamus, and Olive oil. Many traditions of magic also assign symbolic meanings to these ingredients. In the Jewish tradition the Olive is a symbol of domestic felicity and stability, Myrrh is believe to be sacred to the Lord, Calamus is known for its sweetness and stands for male sexuality and love, while while Cinnamon is favoured for its warming ability.

As I said to Mary: LOOKS LIKE THEY GOT THE PERFECT MAGICAL LUBE RECIPE, THERE!

Tessa was played by Lindsey McKeon (http://www.lindseymckeon.net/index2.php)...in case you were still wondering.

Hey, I meant to ask you - I linked to a pdf transcript I did of the episode, but I was considering putting up a wiki file of the transcript so other users could just make corrections and such; I ask because I don't think you've done that before and I thought mebbe there was a reason. What d'you think?

For the forseeable future I'll probably transcriptions of the new episodes within a day or so (not that I want to make a promise I can't keep, but it doesn't take that long) so this is a general question for the wiki, I guess.

Sweet. I've created the page - I'll put up the transcript once I've fiddled with the formatting a touch so it looks right. Which will happen tomorrow when I'm not so zonked. :)
