...meanwhile, it took me 5 steady hours to make, and about 2 extra hours trying to work out how to compress it enough to actually be web-worthy. sigh. so apologies for the low quality, try turning up the bright on your monitor, i think some scenes have darkened a lot. *watches big, uncompressed, high-quality original*

so yeah, if anyone has any tips or software recommendations on compressing it/converting the format, that would be much appreciated.

I wouldn't have a clue where to start. I think about it - like fic - and my brain just flounders! If I could get the hang of it, it'd probably be pretty fun. I'm not entirely sure what software i'd use, cos i'm not using Windows. (I mean, i'm sure there's software, I just don't know what to look for!)

it *is* daunting, i was quite daunted for a while, but it's simpler than you think (esp. as versaphile has the episodes for download on her site, so you don't have to bother with that extra step of working out how to rip from dvd!). just a matter of making clips from the episode with one program, then dropping the clips in onto the song in another program. i can't see how non-windows programs would make it any more difficult than that... you get the hang of it real quick ;)

I'll have a poke around when I put the bullet in my last bit of Uni, and see what I can come up with. I have the episodes on disc somewhere, back when I downloaded them to watch 'em for the first time. It'd be neat to be able to try and vid, anyhoo. I'll see :)
