I got a theory, got a bit of an inkling.

Re: FBI guy... I'm thinking that the "I swear I led this girl out of the building 5 minutes ago, she must have a twin sister" + the discarded skin + the similar evidence in St Louis + Dean's line of "No, they're doing our job, only they don't know it so they suck at it" will lead to....

Mr Clevar FBI Agent putting 2+2 together and figuring out what it is they do, a la Linda Blair & Officer Kathleen, only with better understanding rather than "la la la, i'm not entirely clear but I know it's good, so I'll just turn my head".

THEREFORE Agent Hendrickson becomes like Agent Smecker of Boondock Saints. Fighting for the greater good, yoll, so Sam and Dean can keep on keeping on, now with a contact on the inside that can help them out with stuff, and hello FBI, find them new cases, possibly more hardcore ones.

Anyways, that's what I reckon. Because I don't think they can turn it into the shark-jumping "oh noes, he's right behind us! we'll just have to hole up in this motel room shagging all day, once you get over that impotence thing, Clyde!" thing. And if my speculation is right, I'm pretty sure I trust the creators to make something good out of it - a good hunting down, good Sam and Dean interrogation/trusting/mistrusting stuff, good Hendrickson showing his mettle. Maybe that'll be (a two-parter TBC?) around the episode 16 mark?

*rubs hands together* OH I HOPE SO!

Also, I don't think it's particularly inside information that John is an ex-marine who raised his kids rough on the road. Couldn't that be cobbled together by all the state records they'd leave behind them?

If not, hello - I'm sure Gordon would cough up all he needed to on the Winchesters.

Also, I'm totally making buttons that say "WE'RE NOT WORKING FOR THE MANDROID!" Ohhhh yes.

Yeah, I think I read speculation somewhere about how there has to be a snitch in the equation, but umm, this is the FBI, and the Winchesters aren't exactly the leads in Catch Me If You Can. Sam applying to college put him on the map definitively, with a clear paper trail. And I'm betting John wasn't a credit card scam expert instantaneously. For an expert who's been especially assigned to the project, it probably wasn't all that difficult. And ahaha yeah, there is Gordon.

Dude, who's writing the Hendrickson backstory, where everything starts to unfold, and he's like these people are FREAKS? Ex-marine, mysterious bruises and cuts on the kids at every school they hit, living on the road.
