hope: Art of a woman writing from tour poster (pomo-sexual)

It's like 21 Jump Street, but with less ethnicity-specific theme music

VERONICA MARS, DAMMIT. TAKING OVER MY SLEEPING SCHEDULE. I watched one disc of S2 last night, and just finished another disc now, and, um. Might just have put in the third disc. Dammit!

I know I was avoiding specific spoilers for the seasons I hadn't seen myself, so I'll use a cut tag for when I ramble about VM S2 and, naturally, how it relates to Supernatural.

I don't know what it is about this show. I'm not really fandom-ish about it, but it seems to make me SQUEAL WITH GLEE a lot. Well, let's be specific, here. Logan makes me squeal with glee a lot. Last season, I totally shipped Logan/Veronica, and didn't even realise that until the big RESCUE AND SNOGGING scene, upon which I fell off the couch I was so delighted.

This season, however, it's Logan/Duncan/Veronica all the way (with no particular attention paid to the order of those names, there). Now that Duncan is actually, you know, more than just Mr Darcy Morose Emo Who Never Talks, and there are actually INTERESTING things going on with him and Logan, I have a lot more fondness.

Also, in the first handful of episodes at least, Duncan really reminded me of Sam Winchester. You know: beefy, strong, silent type who likes to wear almost-pastel striped blue shirts. I was sharing this with [livejournal.com profile] monkeycrackmary and [livejournal.com profile] claireweasley today, and Claire went on to ask if this meant that Logan=Dean. I pondered briefly, then said yeah, uhuh, okay, but in some AU when they're in high school. Or the WIAWSNB 'verse. If they were the same age.

On reflection, I must alter my answer - Dean=Lily, duh.

Then on further reflection I have a more accurate answer: Dean= Dick, Sam= Beaver. OH COME ON. WIAWSNB 'verse, only instead of playing softball, John plays the stock market.

Um. I can't even type properly, which is an indication that I'm tired, and yet, there seems to be another disc of VM in my DVD drive...

Aww. I don't have my Veronica/Logan icon any more. This one will have to do, given the nature of the above 1am ramblings.

I disagree with your Winchester/Casablancas analogy, but that'll probably be apparent enough as you watch further.

Duncan = Sam -- SO TRUE. THANK GOD SOMEONE ELSE LIKES DUNCAN. Because I swear the entire internet hates him just because he dared to take some of Veronica's attention away from their precious woobie Logan.

Veronica/Logan, totally OTP. S1. is a thing of beauty

But Season two sucks for me, so I'm forgetting it exists.

Duncan got shortchanged by the writers. Too much fanservice is not always a good thing.

While I do admit Veronica/Logan OTP, I think they are incredibly bad for each other - she brings out Logan's gloomy emo, he brings out her snappy control-freak. I see it as one of those pairings that will *really work* when they're, maybe, 25 and have jobs.
