I'm not exactly sure that makes sense, but I've been writing papers for about twenty hours, so, er, just assume it means I liked it a whole lot. This was a beautiful overview of the series! Great choices in clips & wonderful editting! I especially loved how you used a song (amazing song btw) without lyrics; it made it far more meaningful! Excellent job!

This is one of my favourite songs. I had been stewing over the vid idea for a while, looking for an appropriate song (something soundtrack-y, I was thinking)... when it was right here all along! hee.

I haven't been watching Supernatural I'm afraid... catching with other shows on my hard drive now (BSG, Veronica Mars), maybe I'll check it out though...

In this case, blame Technorati actually. Strangely, I happened to check it mere minutes (I think) after you posted it. An hour later, maybe? But was at work and couldn't watch the vid.

Yay Firefly! Yep, and Buffy & Angel. Yet to see what I think of the series I mentioned above. I like my written sf to be of the hard/believable variety, but there's precious little of that on the screen; Joss is just a great writer of stories, full stop.I do find people via referrer logs as well though.

Ta re the song. It's not that bad but I feel like we've come such a long way since then, both in terms of playing and recording. It's still one that we play all the time at gigs though, so it must be a decent enough arrangement ;)
Maybe see you at the launch (so soon and yet so far... let's hope it's all over the radio by then...)

If you like storytelling, then I have no doubt you will enjoy BSG... The HBO network are releasing some awesome television at the moment (BSG, Carnivale, Deadwood...). Did you see Joss when he was in the country? I am rather fond of him.

I like to think of Supernatural as a kind of television evolution from Buffy, though... It does clever things, but with an entirely different approach, which people tend to mis-read as low-quality, at first. It's certainly a completely different style to Joss and the HBO programs.

I look forward to hearing your new stuff on the radio!! And also, hearing Sweetest Perfection at the gig :D

I didn't get to see Joss :( And I'm going to be on tour with something else this week, so I'm missing Neil Gaiman in Sydney too :( My gf is hopefully going to surreptitiously record it, hm.

I would have made it an .avi or .mov but it's so small and the show is just so dark so it compressed into nothing! Yours worked on vlc so it should have no problem.

I always had problems with the contrast and compression too, but someone recced me VirtualDubMod - Once I've edited the vid together and rendered it, I use VDM to tweak the contrast & colour, and then compress it again using DivX (which is a GODSEND of a compressor, I tells ya).

A fantastic choice of music, very evocative, and it shows your thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of editing - if flows very very well. I adore the moment of four (I think) consecutive shots of Sam gasping out of sleep, they blend perfectly with the music. The best SPN vid I've seen so far! Amazing!
