angstslashhope: it started with "previously on Supernatural, Sam and Dean beat, tortured and killed lots of women! oh, and there were these ghosty things every so often too, and a car, i think"
angstslashhope: yeah, their new psychic was kind of cool, but she propositioned dean and invited sam along and then her eyes got burnt out the end
angstslashhope: then dean slapped and punched another woman a few times. then her eyes got burnt out. then it was revealed that dean was brought back from hell by an "angel", who was a nicely dressed accountant-type guy.
angstslashhope: on plus side, ruby's back, and she and sam are sexxing, and sam has brain powers. thus ends my summary of the start of season 4
karenhealey: Sam has SEX
angstslashhope: with demons! or, you know, a demon possessing a woman's body!
karenhealey: Women are such sluts, they probably like being possessed
angstslashhope: damn right they do


In summary, frowny face of sad. I mean, the Sam and Dean and Bobby stuffs were totally squee-worthy, but - sometimes I just wish they'd omit women entirely from the show, instead of including them for the constant abuse. I'm not sure I can keep watching. Especially if it's going to be an uber-relgious arc. Dammit! I have been waiting for Sam's brain powers for THREE SEASONS.

The plot was much, much better than last season, but sometimes I had to hide my eyes. Hey, at least everyone was white this time!

I can keep watching the religious stuff as mythology right up until they start with "OMG IT'S GOD PLS HAVE A RESPECT" and then I'm over and out.

Yeah, the big-G God stuff makes me throw up in my mouth a little. I expect it in family drama, but it kinda ruins my show-about-superstitions.

I loved the episode dearly, but the montage at the beginning was AWFUL to watch. :(

I have to think that it was an intentional um... gesture toward critics of the show's portrayal of women, because the clip choice in that section is so clearly, exclusively female adversary/victims. Bad form, show. Bad form.

The show doesn't seem very self-aware to me... unless it's self-aware in as much as mooning someone is self-aware, heh.

Sad! I almost stopped watching after the demon-slapping scene :/

I'm learning to vid, and I'm doing a lot of vidding in my head. Here's today's head!vid: It's about how awesome the show used to be, and how its contempt for me grew and grew until it was a great seething contemptuous thing! And it's set to GNR's "I Used to Love Her (But I Had to Kill Her)." Because see, it ironic and it works on levels. LEVELS. Multiple POVs, see? The show put me six feet under, but it can still hear me complain. And also, I knew I'd miss the show, so I buried it right in my backyard. And also, other fans wish I'd STFU because I bitch so much, I drove them nuts. \o/
