I know, right? I'd love to go back and read all the X-Files fic that I was loving in the 90s. The drawback to that being that you realize you had shitty taste/standards back then and in your memory you've lived and changed and altered the stories in your head so much that reading the real thing is always a bit of a let down. ...For me, anyway, that's usually how it goes.
I think my fic tag finally overtook my supernatural tag as my #1, yesterday. Momentous.
I apologize for sending you Jack/Ianto angst the other day; I know you're more into the happy crack end of the spectrum. It was that scene in the jail, though. I don't know. For some reason it made me think of you. Not... at the time of its reading. Because that would be weird. Like, AFTER! I don't even know!
True story.

But, like I said to sajee above, omg the STATISTICS. I am hoping one day my Torchwood tag will reach Supernatural proportions (I think it's something like 590 for SPN, 180 for TW - 700 for "Fanfiction"!). I just like to look at the pritty numbers. Makes me feel less like I'm letting the past just slip away without recording...
um, anyway.
No need to apologize! I enjoyed it, it was a good story! I do tend to enjoy the crack/happy more, I think possibly because... there's more variety in it? There is just so much out there about how sad Ianto is about Lisa, and how sad Jack is that he'll never die, and those two positions pretty much sum up a vast majority of fic. Cracky ones can still surprise and delight me :D
But yes, I will read angst still anyway, good writing is still good writing, and it's good to have someone to rec it to me :D

You must have a never-ending source of ficcage, then?

Oh, Nine. I am re-watching season 1 of new Who right now and I am SO ADORING Nine.
I was actually chatting about it with someone last night... Nine was my first proper taste of DW, I found him intriguing and mostly delightly but was wary and not fallen for the 'verse so much yet. By the time Ten came around I was much more into it and found Ten's quirkiness quite charismatic...
But on re-watching, I adore Nine SO MUCH MORE than Ten. Nine is absolutely lovely in his own brand of quirkiness, whereas while the surprise of Ten's shenanigans the first time around are largely pleasantly surprising, on re-watching it's more irritating (esp when coupled with the ego/god complex of Ten!).
Um, in summary, NINE!
I reeeeeally want to write a story about TW 3 on the TARDIS, but I don't know how I can fit Nine into the timeline that way. *ANGST*

See, I watched Four first, and didn't want to get into new Who because... I don't exactly remember why. I loved Four to pieces, especially in his first couple of seasons, and then I got into Life On Mars and was like, OKAY, I obviously need to watch Who, now. So I was like all wary. You know... with SKEPTICAL face and everything.
Ahaha. He had me at "Run."
I don't know how I can fit Nine into the timeline that way.
What? He's the GODDAMN TIMELORD, he can be anywhere or anywhen he wants to be. Just C&P him in there. I'll read it.
Maybe when Ten dies he degenerates back into Nine? ...It could happen. I dunno. AU whatever. GIMME.

Lolololol.
Yes, there's just the timelines, with the not-having-met-Jack, and then the Rose, and then blah blah, but the more I think about it the more I can work around it and etc etc etc. MAYBE, I WILL TRY!
I kind of want to concentrate on my crackfic and just get THAT finished (team orgy energies need to be directed into THAT document before I have them all frolicing around the TARDIS, I mean REALLY).
:D ♥
