This was almost, mmmm. Uncomfortable to read. Maybe only because I'm a little drunk myself and have been here before. Really sort of an unexpected pleasure to read. I love the ugly little realities of life; somehow they're a lot more beautiful and appealing to me to read than the sort of things that are normally more glorified - to me, this is a perfect example of that.

This is truly discomfiting to read yet....unexplicably good. Probably because of how real it feels and how comfortable Ianto and Jack appear to be with each other in this fic....it's easy to be so on the good days but pulling it off in times of sodden carpets and full bladders is what makes their relationship real. Fantastic piece.

I've already given this a bucketload of love, but it bears repeating. Fabulous, just so fluid and controlled and evocative.

Also, a minor query: were you implying that Ianto's flat was damaged in the Cardiff bombings, or some unspecified attack? Could work either way -- just curious.

Fantastically done. I think you manage realism better than anyone else writing in this fandom.

Oh, realism. You are so delicious.
I love how you've managed to write this and it's so sharp and poignant and not lost in smoosh at all like so much slash is...and with all the difficulties of drunk sex.
