Good job on all of these pieces, just a great execution of a clever concept.

Comments, by part ...

Trusty Steed

I love the boys getting into such mischief, and the car turning into a horse. And all three of them riding the horse back to the motel makes for a great image. *g*

Favorite lines:

He holds out his free hand as Sammy kicks and wriggles in the other, buzzing spittle against the collar of John's shirt.

Aww, Sammy drool!

The Colt

Very interesting concept. I love how awkward and wild the boys are after they change back, the way they’re so uncomfortable in the bodies they haven’t worn for so long.

Dad's an Ass

Love John as a horse, and too funny that he’s a girl horse! I think what I liked most, though, is how he can still hunt things/save people, even as a horse.

Favorite lines:

And as for what happened after, well, he didn't care to think too long on that. It was more about where you were than where you were going.

Very practical, so very John.

Finding himself a previously-human soul alone amongst a bunch of animals isn't the most reassuring realisation for the progress of John's own soul through the ranks.

*g*

And sure, he's always maintained his understanding of the language. Not that he's ever let on. Mostly because it's much more goddamn entertaining to be more ornery than obedient.

LOL! Oh, John, you amuse me so.

"Don't listen to him, ya big softy."

*snickers* Aww, look at Dean talking unawares to his daddy.

"Does she look wild to you?" Dean says back, then straightens up, still yanking at John's mane, and digs his heels into John's side. Dean whoops and John's off. Heading toward those hills.

Great ending. Love this image.
