I had so much fun making these. They're all existing pulp novel covers with real titles and taglines; I just changed the art. Torchwood + pulp seems a foregone conclusion, to me. Before I started I had just intended to be clever with using relevant titles, but after just the first (I, Robot) I realised that they had the potential not just to make a clever reference, but make a whole new story. I mean, yes, I have done art analysis up the wazoo, so I knew this already, but I am so delighted at how much can be construed from such a simple set of words and visual tropes.

In summary: I am totally making more fanart. I adore it.

I love these. I've always thought Torchwood and pulp was a match made in heaven.

I needed you to do one of these for my tw big bang story. Course, it was more "The Thin Man" than "Continental Op," but there's something very Jack Harkness about the jaded, world-weary protagonists in these stories.

If I do a sequel, and there's been some talk, I may come to grovel/ask nicely for your help. :P
