[livejournal.com profile] loqia made gleeeeeee-inducing fanart for A Fowl Morn.

SERIOUSLY. Jack's little coy/indulgent smile! Ianto's twitchy expression and flailing! SO MUCH LOVE.

I have a pre-series playlist that I listen to to fond myself up about the Winchesters being wee and domestic. And by "fond myself up", I mean put me in a mindset where I'm thinking fondly of them, and writing fiction about them, and D'AWW I JUST LOVE THE WEECHESTERS, OK?

So, seeing as I just ate about 3 packets of sugar (as in: lollies. or candy, or whatever you call it), I'm all pumped and full of LOVE and in the sharing mood.

So, here's my preseries playlist. Keeping in mind that it's most definitely not in the style of the show, and some are cliche fangirl, some are cliche indie or emo or WHATEVER. They're my preseries songs. Thus unabashedly sentimental (because, hello?). So nir.

Oh, and, I fanarted my own fanmix cover for this one. GOOD TIMES. I ♥ my graphics tablet. Though you can ignore my lack of artistic skillz as well. NIR NIR.

Also, how cool would it be if Gordon was actually Gordon from Sesame Street? PRETTY DAMN COOL, you have to admit.

Also, Dean would have totally sung 'Rubber Ducky, you're the one' to the extent that Sammy would have refused to have a bath if he *wasn't* singing it up until age 17.

[livejournal.com profile] _audrey is here. When Audrey is here, we make her do stuff.

Like, the Winchesters a la The Simpsons.

*cackles in glee*

Yeah, there was a conversation that lead up to that. I don't think it's necessary for full enjoyment of the piece.

OMG GLEE!

Whenever I think about Wincest I get this delighted shiver of glee at the potential of how self-contained and fucked up it could get. Yes, sure, it's all about "our family is fucked up, this is no more fucked up, fucked up is normal for us and this is who we are *buttsex*", and that's all fine, but it's still rationalisation. Rationalisation that is extremely rational and fine when it's just the two of them against the world, yes, but as Sam is fond of saying in the early episodes, We gotta find Dad! And I'm not quite sure Papa Winchester would be quite as pleased as punch with all the fraternal buggery going on as the boys are.

Which leads to my delighted shiver of glee because of course the rational follow-on from that kind of "there's only us in the world, therefore as long as we have eachother there's nothing left to lose, etc" is a play out of that rather striking (so to speak) Heavenly Creatures narrative, and oh, they'd really have nothing left to lose after that, would they?

In other news,

My manips are getting more and more seamless! I'm thinking of giving up this whole career thing and working on my art full time.

Also, I made a bunch more icons. The keywords for this one are 'winnie blues'.

So, not that long ago I made an alternative poster that I thought illustrated Serenity better than the proposed DVD cover art did.

Well, tonight I got inspired and decided to make another. I have [livejournal.com profile] monkeycrackmary to thank for the wonderfully inspired text. Be wary, fellow viewers, for there are Serenity spoilers behind the cut.

here's the poster )

i am very smrt.

you may or may not have seen the proposed Serenity DVD cover. I will be the first to admit that I find it a bit frightening. has the person who designed it even SEEN the movie? it looks like zoe and mal are leading the last alliance of men and elves against the reaver hoards.

so, in response, i decided to lend my l33t design skillz to making a cover. by the fans, for the fans.

it’s behind the cut. )

I am proud to admit that I spent a lot of time, effort and talent on this. Should I send it on to Universal?
