Today i got cut up by a guy called Stitch Hessian. It was awful. I don't know how someone with that low a percale can live with themselves! Jayne stabbed him for me, though, which was a nice chivalrous gesture, I guess those ape-arms come in handy for something.

Afterwards Kaylee told me I ought to stand up for myself; but I just told her that'd only happen when there aren't big burly men around to appreciate me being thrown around in the dirt.

I'm not quite sure she understood; she didn't get the hint I dropped about liking 'engine grease'. You'd think someone who spends so much quality hair-brushing time with Inara would have some concept of grooming.
