hope | (no subject)

dear friends list,

it has become apparent to me that i need to ~~be in canada RIGHT NOW KTHX~~ start seriously saving for coming over to canada/the states. the airfare alone will cost me around $3000. if i stick with my current income, will take me liek, a couple of YEARS. so from now on i'm going to attempt to pull my finger out and save every single cent that is possible for me to save.

this includes, um, metaphorically whoring myself out to the world at large. i'm going to go through my stuff and see if anything is saleable. i'm also now offering what services i have to anyone who's willing to pay a smallish fee for them. this doesn't apply to people who i already do things for, or to people in the future i offer to do things for. but anyone else reading this who is interested in the following in exchange for some kind of monetary donation, LET ME KNOW OK.
- webdesign
- photoshoppery
- icon making?
- encoding/archiving (manual labor type stuff that's involved in web publishing)
- tutoring for webdesign/photoshop/stuff.

housemates and other peeps with whom i have human contact, let me know if you want me to clean your bathrooms or mow your lawns or type/proof your essays or tutor you in the writing of media essays or something. ANYTHING. honestly. i am busy with work and uni during the week but i am willing to commit my weekends to doing whatever it takes omg.

um. i should set up a paypal or something for myself, in case anyone wants to take up the above offers. i don't want to just ask for donations because that's. kinda. weird, i think. and this is separate to the hosting tip jar thing, this is me. PAY ME TO DO STUFF. um.

I'd be interested in commissioning a few icons for friends - I know, not something that will pay for the gas to get you to the airport once you decide to come here, but it's a start. What would you charge?

whee! every little bit counts. i don't know, what would you charge? a dollar? a couple of dollars? less than that? what's reasonable?

How about two for five dollars US (am not sure how much that is Australian)? Do you have a paypal account?

I'm looking for a Liv Tyler icon to give

maxwellgrant. He has one that I made for him, but it's just a cropped image and he doesn't use it very often, for it is very much Anneheart rather than

maxwellgrant. And I'm looking for an Asian-themed icon for

fallingblossom, which is the seldom-used journal I share with my cousin Beth; actually, the icon would be for Beth, in hopes that she will post more with her own icon. She's a great fan of the painting "The Great Wave," if that helps at all.
