i just heard about deadwood being good via word of mouth; it' not on free-to-air tv here, so no one really knows about it. it was under $40 at my local dvd store, so i decided to take a chance... in other words, i have absolutely no knowledge of the online support of deadwood at all. there needs to be fic, dammit, and websites with screencaps and icons and stuff! ho well.

Have you seen Carnivale, too, or no? Because they cancelled it after two seasons, which was the suckiest bucket of suck ever, but it is one of my favorite things the world has ever given me. It really just leaves you with a taste of dust and grit in your mouth and a feeling of sweat on the back of your neck and an uncomfortable itch between your shoulder-blades, where you want your own angel wings to be.

I'll stop waxing stupid on Carnivale now, though. I will ponder up some Deadwood fic for you. At the very least, some tom/doug. Which I keep meaning to write but have no little plotplans for.

Mmm, icons to me are the precious. I suck so hard at them and worship those who ... don't. XD

I have seen tiny snippets of episodes, when i was in the states, nothing really enough to give me a proper taste for it. i've heard mixed reviews, though. you think it's worth it? the cancellation doesn't ruin things too badly?
