DEAR DIARY

Today Jayne told me that we'd docked at a hair salon ship, and if I wanted to make use of it while we were there, I'd best get my pretty head over there right now. Well, not having visited such an establishment for some time, I was abruptly aware of the neglected state of my own coiffure, and decided to don one of the suits I found in a locker on the cargo deck so's not to cause myself any unnecessary public humiliation. I tried to get River to come with me, but I think it's too late for her - I don't know what the Alliance did to her at the Academy, but whenever I let a hairdryer come within a two foot radius of her head, she starts screaming.
So, after arranging the mini spotlights on either side of the helmet for both distracting and decorative effect, I went on over to the salon to find that Jayne had tricked me. Instead of a hair salon, the ship we'd docked on just had a bunch of dead people hung up all over it. The captain wasn't impressed with my outfit (though that isn't the first time that that's been the case, the plebeian), and made me stay on the ship and help cut down the dead people. Jayne and Book stayed too; and Jayne tried to pull some line on me in which he likened the dead people to mistletoe. He must be dreaming, I'm not letting him anywhere near my bunk again for at least a week.

I love your eyebrow.
I hope you appreciate the gravity of this, coming from an eyebrow.
