am drawn to the

fanfic100 projects (and its subsequent offspring), but generally uninspired at the idea of such strict rules and generally uninspiring prompt-words (who gets to choose them, anyway? snot fair.), so i've decided to prompt myself with dictionary.com's words of the day, which are a bit more fun to play with. maybe i'll do 100 of them. maybe i'll do one every day. who knows? here's the first one:

tocsin \TOCK-sin\, noun:
1. An alarm bell, or the ringing of a bell for the purpose of alarm.
2. A warning.

Some of them are a bit uninspiring (though you didn't hear that from me.) But using them uniquely is an interesting challenge in itself, in a way. :)

oh yar, i understand the challenge of making yourself do something with something you generally don't find challenging... but i'm not that good at that. too lazy. i need something to spark my inspiration, not a deadline i have to force myself to ;)

that's a very good idea! and I must agree, the words for fanfic100 intended to inspire do no such thing

...plus i am a big dork who likes to be different from everyone else, hee.

...because what i need is another kind of challenge! :P
