*FLAIL*

Okay, so I like Battlestar Galactica now. Like, a lot.

When i first started watching i couldn't get into it. it's like, i could see the potential for interesting inter-personal relationships between characters, but the show didn't seem to be about that. it wasn't about people, it was about Humanity (with a capital H). the human race, the division between military and government, blah blah blah. all that big-scale, will-the-human-race-survive-or-not stuff. which, i'm not all that interested in. it bores me. i'm more interested in the studies of humanity that's played out through the individual characters, their flaws, their strengths, their love/hate for eachother. not robot vs. human.

so, it took me until "act of contrition" before i started to like the show a lot. because starbuck(/)apollo. starbuck-apollo-adama. starbuck-apollo-adama(-zach). omfg! so. in love with that whole dynamic GUH. now that's what I'M talking about when I write the above paragraph about what i like to see. I cried and i flailed and squealed with glee and sobbed with sadness in those two episodes. omg HEART. them!

see, the president is okay, but she doesn't grab me. gaius and gina just bore me so, SO much, and the colonel, meh, seen it all before. boomer and helo on caprica seem to have that *potential* to be interesting... but it's more about the 'humans vs. robots!' Epic Battle, which, yawn. so, i'm crossing my fingers that there gets to be MORE playing out of the adama^3&starbuck relationship(s).

anyhoo. don't spoil it for me if there isn't, eh?

Sounds like a lot of work just to get to the point where you like a series. Still, it could happen - the peer pressure is increasing.
